Apparently, according to some sources, the top runners for the 2012 MVP spot are as follows:
- Aaron Rodgers-Reigning 2011 SuperBowl Champ & current quarterback of the only undefeated team in the entire NFL.
- Tom Brady-2011 MVP, quarterback of the 3x SuperBowl champs: New England Patriots, won last year with unanimous votes.
- Peyton Manning....
First off, i can understand Aaron Rodgers. He's leading the Green Bay Packers amazingly since the leave of Brett Favre. His talents led his team to the Superbowl last year against the Pittsburgh Steelers, in which they won. And if you look at the Packers this season, they are the only undefeated team in the NFL heading into week 10.
Now let's take a look at the sexy Tom Brady. Straight out of Michigan, the 199th overall pick in the draft back in 2000 he was drafted by New England. Since he was drafted he has constantly been showing everybody, fans and jealous haters how talented he truly is when it comes to football. He lucked out when Drew Bledsoe was injured in a game against the Jets. Even though he started out as second string, he soon proved his spot on the team. Tom Brady has led the New England Patriots to 3 Superbowl wins. And of course there was spygate. Belichick, Brady, and the rest of the Patriots were caught cheating. Ever since, they have been called cheaters. Who gives a shit. Every team cheats. The Patriots were just stupid enough to get caught. Now back to the present. Brady isn't bringing his A-game to the stadiums. His plays are being intercepted & plays are being incomplete. We have lost 2 games in a row. It's honestly disgusting. Of course, in my opinion i would vote for Tom Brady.
And thirdly, let's examine Peyton Manning. Peyton Manning has one superbowl ring. One. He has not stepped foot on the field during the 2011-2012 season due to an injury. The Indianapolis Colts are now 0-9. Some say its simply because of Peyton Manning. His absence has taken a dramatic toll on the team. Well, that may be but that does not mean that he deserves the MVP spot.
Football is a team sport. It is not a one-man show. If one player is out, then they should still be able to work together as a team to get some wins. Tom Brady was out in the 2009 season and the Patriots were still able to go 11-5 with second-string quarterback, Matt Cassel. They barely even missed playoffs. The Colts aren't even going to make playoffs this year. Peyton Manning should not even be considered or in the running. He may be a great quarterback but he does not deserve MVP for this season.
