According to reports, the Indianapolis Colts & Mr. Irsay are planning to let Peyton Manning go. So what exactly does that mean?!
It means that after being drafted by the Indianapolis in 1998 & winning 2 AFC championships and a Superbowl win, Manning will be taking his talents elsewhere. I am not a Colts or Peyton Manning fan by no means, but i think its a mistake.
I understand that by keeping him, they would be forking out 28 million dollars. But its well deserved. Yes, he was injured & out for the whole 2011 season and had 4 neck surgeries. His surgeries appear to have helped. I mean, he's been seen practicing and throwing balls pretty decently at Duke. It's clear he's going to play in the 2012 season. He's done a lot for the Colts. In my opinion, he's the reason the Colts have played so well in the past. Who cares about Garcon, Wayne & Freeney. They obviously are not as great as they appear considering how horrible they all played this year without Manning.
Many are saying that Andrew Luck is going to get the Colts back on track. I don't think so. The media & people are making him out to be this badass quarterback that's going to end up outshining Manning. No. He's not. I think he's going to end up being a huge failure and a huge letdown. Look at Mark Sanchez. When he was drafted, he had all this attention and for what? He's honestly kind of a joke now, i think anyways. The Jets have yet to do anything too important with him as first string. He's too busy dating celebrities and supermodels to even be worth a shit out on the field.
My point is why get rid of a badass quarterback for a chance that a first round draft pick? Building up confidence and having high hopes don't always lead to success. Look at the Patriots. We made it to the Superbowl with the worst defense in the league, only to choke the last seconds of the game due to lack of catching passes. They had built up so much confidence that the Patriots were going to end up being the champions. And they sucked.
And honestly, after watching clips & reading articles of the NFL Combine, I think RGIII is going to be the most successful draft pick. He's pretty badass.
But I digress.
What i'm saying by all of this is that letting Peyton go is a mistake. In my opinion, he help shape the Colts into what they are today. So why let him go? You're putting all your eggs in one basket by letting him go and drafting Luck. And people are speculating where Manning's gonna end up. Some say the Redskins. Others say the Jets, Dolphins or somewhere else. Honestly, i'm starting to finally appreciate Manning. If he goes to the Jets, i'm not so sure that I can keep that up. I hate the Jets with a passion. I hate everything about them. And its not just because they are competition for New England. I especially hate their fucking fatass coach Rex Ryan. Everything about that fucking fatass is annoying. His cockiness. His foot fetish. His "model" wife. The whole "Tripgate" thing still pisses me off even though it the coordinator tripping a Dolphins' player. Ryan's constant assurance that his team are gonna make it to the big game every year. Yeah keep thinking that, fat ass. It's never gonna happen.
And i digress again. Excuse my ADD.
I would be okay with Manning going to the Dolphins. They truly need a good quarterback. I don't really consider Miami as competition. They sign Reggie Bush and he did nothing amazing this year. And i think Manning could help put the Dolphins on the map again.
I'm simply just saying, "Good Luck, Manning!!" wherever you end up going.

Superbowl XLVI
So after years of me saying that the New England Patriots were heading to the Superbowl, they actually do...and they...
...CHOKE!
What the hell? I know that i have missed a couple of months of blogging but i have so many emotions and opinions for this game that fuck the rest. lol
The championship game against the Ravens, i was sure we were going to lose that one. Thank you, Cundiff for missing that field goal that would have sent the game into overtime. So honestly, i don't think we should have won that game. But i do believe that we belonged & earned our spot as the AFC Champions. Maybe next year, right? Hopefully.
Of course, the Patriots had to choke when the Superbowl was in Indy. It was such an amazing feeling knowing that my team was playing in the big game in my home state! I ended up heading downtown with a friend of mine & his daughter. I had the best time. I would have loved to run into Gronkowski or Hernandez while there but whatever. The NFL experience was such an amazing experience, and honestly, it was a once in a lifetime opportunity for me. I will forever remember getting my picture taken with the Lombardi trophy, attempting to kick a field goal, & just being surrounded by thousands of fellow Patriots' fans close to home.
Waking up the morning of the Superbowl felt like what waking up on Christmas morning when i was a child. It was such a rush. Sucks it had to end the way it did. At least, they made it to the big game. I opted to watch the game by myself b/c i knew how pissed i was going to be if they lost. And sure enough, they lost. I cried with Brady. It was such a close game. If only Gronkowski had been put in the game longer, Ochocinco could actually catch passes, & if only Welker & Hernandez had actually caught the two very last passes, the Patriots would be SB XLVI champions right now. But they didn't & they're not.
FML.
