AFC East Champions

Once again, my favorite team in the whole entire world has clinched the AFC East for the sixth year in a row! After the disaster showdown week one against the Miami Dolphins, where New England walked away with the first loss of the season, the tables were turned. New England handed Miami their seventh loss.

In the 41-13 win over Miami, quarterback Tom Brady threw for two touchdown passes during the third quarter. He completed 21 out of 35 attempts for 287 yards. Just seconds before halftime, Miami's quarterback Ryan Tannehill, who is in his third year, completed a 32-yard touchdown pass to Mike Wallace. This play was first ruled an incompletion and after being reviewed the ruling on the field changed to a touchdown. The score heading into halftime was 14-13.

New England came out for the second half with guns ablazing. In just the third quarter alone, 24 consecutive points were put on the board.

Now if New England heads into the playoffs beating both the Jets and the Bills, home-field advantage will be locked.

Now this is a little off topic but forgive me because I must say it. This past week it was reported that Julian Edelman has himself an admirer. The wide receiver has apparently caught the attention of 90210 actress, Annalynne McCord. Don't get me wrong, the girl is drop dead gorgeous but could she be the reason behind his small fumble that he, thankfully, recovered? I watched this game and he just did not seem to be 100 percent there. Hopefully this bitch doesn't become too much of a distraction because it is way too close to playoffs and the Super Bowl for a player to get distracted. Football is first. New England has worked all of their sexy asses off to get to where they are today so please hold off til offseason to start something.

Blount's Back Baby!

Hallelujah! LeGarrette Blount is back! My favorite running back is back to being a New England Patriot. Two days after the Steelers released him, he signed a two-year deal back with the Patriots. Many stated after the signing that they weren't sure exactly why New England re-signed him especially Jonas Gray had an amazing breakout performance that following week against Indianapolis, but look at what he did when he was a Patriot the first time. He rushed for 772 yards and let's not forget the 166-yard game with four touchdowns against Indianapolis last season in the playoffs. With Ridley being out for the season, New England is left with Shane Vereen and Jonas Gray. Signing LeGarrette back was a great decision.

With the Steelers, Blount had rushed a total of 266 yards and two touchdowns with only 65 carries in the first ten games. Since being back with New England, Blount has rushed for 202 yards with two touchdowns!

Prior to the start of the 2014-2015 season, Blount signed with the Pittsburgh Steelers. While a Steeler, he was arrested on a marijuana charge with former teammate, Le'Veon Bell who is also a Pittsburgh Steeler running back. A judge ruled on Wednesday that the charge will be withdrawn from Blount's record once he completes fifty hours of community service. The hours must be completed by February 4. With this comes the possibility of Blount facing a fine or a one game suspension. It is also highly possible that he could face some intense drug testing which could reach up to ten times a month, all randomly.

Welcome back!! He was definitely missed.

Catch-Up

So I realize that I have been completely horrible when it comes to updating this thing this season but with going to school full-time and working full-time, it's been really hard to find that perfect balance. I doubt anybody truly reads things I post but I'm going to put this out there anyways. Since the last time that I truly blogged, I have gone back to school. My major is sports journalism but I really want to be a sideline reporter, preferably in Boston of course. Let's be honest, I'll probably never leave Indiana.

Anyways, the reason for this post is simply to state that if I actually have any viewers, and that's a really big IF, within the next two days I should have some new postings.

Training Camp Injuries

Training Camp started this week for all teams. Super excited because that means we are only one day closer to the start of the season. New England's first preseason game is the 7th of August. The team will be having conjoined practices with the Washington Redskins prior to the game.
((Pictures have nothing to do with other teams' players))

Everybody loves injuries at camp.

Defensive back Tyrann Mathieu suffered a torn ACL and LCL last season so he was on the PUP list with the Cardinals.

Wide Receiver Julio Jones suffered a broken foot last season but unlike Mathieu, Jones was cleared to practice.

Ravens' Aaron Ross suffered a torn Achilles tendon during conditioning so he is out for the season.

Buffalo Bills player Fred Jackson apparently left the field with a leg injury.

Denver Broncos Von Miller suffered a torn ACL last season. According to "The Denver Post's Mike Klis" he will not receive the clearance until at least the third or fourth week of preseason. After failing a physical Joel Dreesse was released from the team.

Number one draft pick Jadeveon Clowney was not put on the PUP after a surgery to a hernia earlier on.

Vick Ballard is out for the season with the Colts after going down with a torn Achilles.

Kansas City Chiefs Dwayne Bowe gave his team a scare with some hobbling.

Gronkowski was cleared to fully participate in camp which is absolutely fucking amazing!! He says he's going to give it his all and keep 'smashing and dashing' on the field.

Wilfork suffered a torn Achilles last season but he is on the field without any restrictions.

The two A.D's (Alfonzo Dennard & Aaron Dobson) were on the PUP list.

New York Jets player Chris Pryor went down with a possible head injury. Meanwhile, Chris Ivory was dealing with a hamstring issue.

Kendall Hunter will most likely have to undergo reconstructive surgery soon due to his ACL causing him to miss most, if not, ALL of the season.

As we progress into the start of football season, I say good luck to all players of ALL teams. I hope that everyone has a great season and that everyone remains healthy.

Best of luck, fellas!!

Season Greetings!!!

Ahhh!!! Can you smell it? It's the first of July and the season is just around the corner. HALLELUJAH!!!

I'm so excited that I just cant hide it! Patriots' tickets go on sale on in 2 weeks. Training camp starts at the end of the month. Joint practice sessions with Washington Redskins take place August 4-7. Then August 7 the first preseason game commences!! Yay!

Anyways, this post is really just a welcome to all of my new readers, if I have any. Lol. I do this blog for fun. I have no experience whatsoever in writing so forgive me if this is not perfect. Living in Indiana with being a New England fan there's really not many I can share my enthusiasm and passion with. In a way, this blog is like my diary that is free for all. It's used for me to vent and connect with others. Whether you agree with me or not, it doesn't really matter. I say what I want. I feel what I want. And I do what I want. I don't always have my facts straight but I try.

Here's what I'm looking forward to seeing this season:
-I cannot wait to see New England destroy the Bills. Shoving the football down Brandon Spikes' throat would be freaking fantastic. His overconfident ass just needs to shut the hell up. 4 years a slave my ass. Come live with me for 4 years and i'll show you slave.
-Week 11!! I love every match-up with New England and Indianapolis. There's such a great rivalry there that just makes those games more fun. This season it will be even better because New England travels here so I WILL go to this game. This match-up does make me a little nervous though. I can't have my boys come into town and lose against our rivals. Life would be hell for me. Lol I'd either end up in jail or in an alcohol coma for a few weeks.
-I cannot wait to see what our rookies bring to the team this year. Hopefully they make all of us fans proud.
-I also cannot wait to see Gronk back on the field tearing it up. I hope he's ready week one but I truly hope his return isn't rushed. I'm ready for a healthy Gronk. I need a season full of Gronk spikes!!!!

Well that's it for now. Stay tuned.

Draft Aftermath

As of right now, we are 66 days away from New England's first preseason game against the Washington Redskins. Wooo-hooo!

Here's a little recap of what happened with the draft. I know I'm a little late on this update but who reads my blog posts anyway? No seriously, who?

Round 1: Houston used their first round draft pick on Jadeveon Clowney the 6'6 defensive end out of South Carolina. Cleveland Browns did not take Manziel until the 22nd pick. This was a little interesting after numerous reports that they were going to use their first round pick on Johnny Manziel. By the way, I'm already over hearing about this fucker, Johnny boy. My guess is he's gonna choke his rookie season. The only reason I'm bringing up this next pick is his very original name, Ha Ha Clinton-Dix....way to go Packers. Awesome name. Alfonzo Dennard's cousin, Darqueze Dennard signed with the Cincinnati Bengals.

Blah, blah, blah. On to New England's picks.

First round, New England went with defensive tackle out of Florida, Dominique Easley. Suffered from torn ACLs in both knees during his time with the Gators. The dude has some potential regardless. Plays on his feet, quick, and has played both inside and outside. Time will tell.

Round two was a bit of a surprise to me in a way. Patriots chose quarterback Jimmy Garoppolo out of Eastern Illinois. Garoppolo signed a four year contract today with New England which says a lot to me. Let me get this straight. I do not see Brady leaving anytime soon. He's not going to a new team. He's not retiring yet. The man has tons of football life left. Jimmy is the FUTURE meaning he has many years to learn from one of the greatest quarterbacks of all time. There's been a lot of talk of Ryan Mallett being traded but I don't see that happening quite yet. If it's gonna happen, New England will wait until the time is right to do so. If trading him will benefit New England in the long run, I say do it.

Third round, New England traded their 29th pick to the Jacksonville Jaguars. In doing so they gained the 105th pick in the fourth round and 179th pick in the sixth round.

In the fourth, center Bryan Stork was picked up with the 105th pick. Stork is from Florida State. Running back James White from Wisconsin became the 130th pick. And with the compensatory selection, New England signed Stanford's OT Cameron Fleming.

New Orleans picked up one of the Patriots' pick, who New England got through the Eagles. OG Jon Halapio was another Florida pick up for NE in the sixth. This pick was from the Jaguars. From the Eagles defensive end Zach Moore was acquired. Cornerback Jemea Thomas and wide receiver Jeremy Gallon were snatched up in the sixth and seventh round.

Welcome to New England guys!!

Why?

So I get asked quite a bit on how I became a Patriots fan and why I'm so fascinated with the town as well. I figured why not answer these questions via blog.

I've been a New England fan since 2007 I believe. How it started is quite simple really. I came across one of Bill Belichick's press conferences and I loved what I saw & heard. Many think that it was mainly because they were 3x Super Bowl champs. No. I couldn't even name the years that they had won or who they played against. I couldn't even tell you when Spygate was back then. I started watching their games here and there and voila! I was hooked. Now I will admit that our quarterback, Tom Brady is sexy as hell. That's for damn sure but that's not why. The year I became dedicated to New England was back when Brady was out for his injury and second string quarterback, Matt Cassel led the team to an 11-5 season. That's the amazing thing about this team. It's not just one player who makes the team, it's ALL of the men on the roster that are important.

New England is a great organization. The owner, Robert Kraft and the rest of the organization simply have a small request in their players. The Patriot Way is pretty much staying out of trouble on and off the field & making a difference in other's lives.

Now many will say that how can you respect a team that cheated at one point? Every team cheats in some way or form. New England was just unfortunate enough to get caught. Spygate practically made this team the most hated team in the NFL and that's okay.

People ask me if I have ever been to Boston or had a history at some point with New England and no I haven't. I've never been but I'd love to move there in the near future. This question usually leads to me getting pissed off. You see, I live in Indiana...home of the Indianapolis Colts. Because of this people in this state tend to think that just because I live in Indiana that I have to support the home team. No I fucking don't and no i fucking won't. Liking a team or anything for that matter just because I'm "supposed" to or "have" to is ridiculous and stupid. Last I checked it was a free world. So with that,  you like your team and I'll like mine.

It doesn't matter what obstacle this organization faces, they always do their best. They never give up. For example, some people would have given up on them this past season when we had so many injuries and rookie players were having to step in. Hell at some point it looked like Brady was ready to give up but he didn't. I mean, we lost Welker to another team, Hernandez to being a murderer to Gronkowski staying injured all season. Loyal fans stuck around.

New England could have a 0-16 season and I still would be standing there supporting them.

2014-2015 Schedule

Out of Hiatus

Wow! I cannot believe that it's been since week 12 of the past season since I've last updated. So much has happened that I don't even know where to begin.

Here's a little recap:

New England unfortunately lost to the Denver Broncos in Denver in the AFC championship game. Therefore, Manning went to the Super Bowl. That stung a little bit...actually it stung a lot more than a little bit, let's be honest. So on February 2nd, the Broncos and the Seattle Seahawks faced each other for the Lombardi trophy. This match-up was interesting. Depending on who you ask this game was pretty much the number one offense of the league paired up against the number one defense of the league. Denver's offense was damn good this year and Manning was just a beast but Denver didn't really have a chance against Lynch and loud mouth Richard Sherman. Seattle destroyed the Broncos 43-8. Yeah, it was bad. Even before halftime you knew that Seattle was about to take home their first Lombardi trophy! Well deserved.

Who could forget CB Richard Sherman's self-declaration of being the best cornerback in the league? His loud ass was heard all season long with him running his mouth but damn it, he's fun to listen to. Now that he's the highest paid CB in the league, I'm sure his cockiness will only grow and worsen by the time of the 2014-15 opener.

Now, back to the only team that really matters...New England. There have been some interesting news this offseason but I'm happy to say that it's nothing like the past offseason...the one where our TE was arrested for first degree murder and is still in prison with charges just adding up everyday. Patriots' defense lost 2 defensive players that, in my opinion, had a big involvement in the success of making it to playoffs. RB LeGarrette Blount bounced to Pittsburgh. Free Agent Aqui Talib went to the Broncos and Brandon Spikes signed with the Buffalo Bills. I respected these guys for their hardwork that they showed this past season but not so much anymore. You see, Aqui Talib claims that he never had a hip injury and that New England's injury reports weren't necessarily the truth...Bitch please. Zip it.

With Brandon Spikes, however, I have absolutely no respect for this cocksucker anymore. After signing with the Bills, who is also in the AFC East, Spikes took to Twitter to run his mouth about the team that helped make him known. This dude claims that for four years he was a slave...Really? The Patriots' organization has one thing that their big on and that's being involved with the community, being on time to meetings, and to keeping out of trouble when off the field. How in the hell has that been even remotely close to slavery? It's ridiculous. This dude seems to think that he's going to be handing New England 2 of its losses in the upcoming season. Yeah because Buffalo can really beat NE. Mofo is crazy. I'm going to digress because discussing this cocksucker is making my blood pressure rise.

Patriots almost lost Vince Wilfork and Julian Edelman this offseason. Luckily for all of us fans their contracts were renewed. Hallelujah because I just love that sexy Edelman. Mmm mmm mmm. Speaking of sexy men, I'm sure all of PatriotsNation are hoping that TE Rob Gronkowski is healing up pretty good during these next few weeks after missing 9 games of the 2013-14 season. -_- The dude needs to stay healthy or get cut. No time for this shit with season opener not too far off.

On that note, I think I'll end this post on that but first, here are a few upcoming post topics to expect. I know I don't have any readers hardly or people don't really care but eh whatever lol
