Patriots Release Donte Stallworth

Word on the street is that the Patriots have released Donte Stallworth. It comes as good news to Deion Branch, for now he can pretty much guarantee his spot on the roster.

Stallworth was a Patriot back in 2007. He was given the chance to be one of Brady's top receivers this season but guess he just couldn't cut it this time around.

What does this all mean for Gaffney who is fighting injury? Guess we will all find out soon enough!

Karma

It looks as if not just one of my "favorite" players is unemployed but two. Chad Johnson & good ole Terrell Owens.

Terrell Owens, widely known as "T.O", did not make the cut with the Seattle Seahawks. I've said from day one when he first had a television show that he was an arrogant son of a bitch, who needs to save the world the trouble of having to hear about him and just retire. Hopefully this can be an eye opener and he will.

How can you expect to be signed to a team when you can't even catch a single pass in the week 2 preseason game? He's about as worthless as Ocho. Like, come on dude, you're thirty-eight. Just retire. I don't really think that there is any team that would risk signing you. You are so far from being at the top of your game. Maybe if you hadn't been such an arrogant tool and was humble for all that you had been given, you'd have a different outcome right now. But you didn't, you weren't and you won't.

To those of you that think T.O and Ocho will make a comeback into the NFL world again, you're crazy. I'd pick Randy Moss over these guys any day...but considering Moss is the only one who is still employed, there's your winner.

Karma's a bitch!

Around the NFL #1

I'm going to try to start blogging more now that the season is among us, as well as "Around the NFL" post every weekend before Football Sunday. It'll feature news on all of the teams not just the Patriots. We'll see how this goes.

Week 3 Scores:

  1. Green Bay 27, Cincinnati 13
  2. Jacksonville 17, Baltimore 48
  3. Arizona 27, Tennessee 32
  4. Philadelphia 27, Cleveland 10
  5. Atlanta 23, Miami 6
  6. New England 28, Tampa Bay 30
  7. Seattle 44, Kansas City 14
  8. San Diego 12, Minnesota 10
  9. Chicago 20, New York Giants 17
  10. Indianapolis 17, Washington 30
  11. Pittsburgh 38, Buffalo 7
  12. Detroit 20, Oakland 31
  13. St. Louis 19, Dallas 20
  14. Houston 27, New Orleans 34
  15. San Francisco 29, Denver 24
**As of right now the Carolina Panthers and the New York Jets are currently still in the 1st quarter. Scores of this game should be added not long after the end.**

RGIII vs. Luck Showdown:

Saturday rookie quarterback for the Washington Redskins and the rookie quarterback for the Indianapolis Colts met face to face. RG3 and the Redskins defeated Andrew Luck and the Colts 30-17. Luck completed 14 passes to Griffin's 11. Statistic-wise, I'd say that Luck should have maybe came out on top. Since the NFL Combine, I've stuck with RG3 & with what i've seen, these are both great competitors for Rookie of the Year.

Recent Injuries:

Players seem to be getting hurt a little easily this preseason. Here is a list of players that have recently injured just to name a few.

  • Pittsburgh Steelers David DeCastro-torn MCL
  • Detroit Lions Matthew Stafford-left hand
  • Houston Texans Randy Bullock-torn muscle (Season ending)
  • Dallas Cowboys Jay Ratliff-high ankle sprain
  • New York Giants Prince Amukamara-high ankle sprain
  • Oakland Raiders Sebastian Janikowski-groin
  • Philadelphia Eagles Michael Vick-thumb
  • Philadelphia Eagles Michael Vick-Rib cage (Negative results)

The Ryan Brothers

So the other night at the gym, I was watching the Cowboys and Raiders game on ESPN. In my opinion, both team sucks. Romo's a homo and the Raiders, well everytime I think of the Raiders I think of a losing team. LOL

But, I digress...

As I'm busting ass on the treadmill, I see good ole Rex Ryan's twin brother, Rob. I used to always refer to Rex Ryan as "fatass" however, he's lost over 100 lbs so he's not necessarily fat anymore. And Rob, lord, he looked like a surfer wannabe with his long ass hair. Lol

If they were skinnier and if Rex Ryan didn't have such a big ass mouth, they'd actually be pretty decent looking.

Blah blah blah!

Chad Johnson

Well well. Look what this douchebag did. He changed his name back to Johnson. Maybe it's because he fucking sucks. Signing Chad last season was such a horrible decision. The whole season, he barely did anything worth talking about. Cutting Ochocinco was one of the best decisions New England has made.

But now that he was signed by the Miami Dolphins, he's predicting a "bounce-back" season. He claims his personality was "controlled" while he was at New England. For good reason i might add. He is well-known for his big ass mouth that he's good at running. He was overconfident and extremely cocky.

....

WEEKS LATER

....

Look who has landed back in the unemployment line! Mr. Johnson and his Johnson. The same day that he was released from jail for domestic battery, the Dolphins decided to release him from the team and who could blame them?! He claims that she headbutted him. Yeah, okay.

But anyways...

Even if he was still signed with the Patriots at the time of this arrest, he would still be unemployed. It isn't the Patriot way, nor is it any "way" because domestic violence just isn't the answer. It's kind of interesting actually. Terrell T.O Owens and Randy Moss are both signed to NFL teams, while Chad and Plaxico Burress are still on the unemployed list. It's so close to the official start of the '12 season that I really do not see Chad being picked up anytime soon. With all of the legal mess he's probably going to have to go through, I don't think any team would want to have to deal with that baggage.

It's a sign that your overconfident ass should just do everybody a favor and RETIRE!!

Plaxico Burress: A Shot in the Dark

There it was, Superbowl XLII. Patriots and the Giants. And a game-winning touchdown pass against New England. Plaxico Burress.

Besides that moment in the Superbowl, I do not think that Burress has done anything remotely worth talking about, career-wise. Who could forget about good ole boy here shooting himself in the leg with a gun that was unlicensed?! Who the hell does that? Clearly a dumbass. After two years in jail, this loudmouth attempted to make a comeback with Rex Ryan, (who at the beginning of the 2011 season, he was a GIANT fat tub of lard), and the New York Jets.

The reason I am writing about this winner is because according to reports, Burress was scheduled to workout with my favorite football boys today. To me it comes as a shock because this guy is not only a complete douchebag, but because New England already has ten wide receivers.  Yeah they looked a little hard to watch on the Offensive line in the preseason opener this past Thursday, but why him? Yeah he played decently with Sanchez last year but he's so not with the Patriot way.

Belichick, pass on this guy.
