The past two weeks there have been so many things in the NFL news that just piss me off and irk me the wrong way.
First, let me vent about the latest in the Hernandez situation. Now i know that everyone is "innocent until proven guilty." I get that, I do. However, since Aaron was arrested and charged with first degree murder, there have been SEVERAL new accusations brought to light from his past. There's the investigation in a double homicide from 2012, rupturing a bouncer's ear at a bar where Tebow was the "peacemaker," and a few others. The evidence keeps piling up against him. He looks more and more guilty each passing day. I'm not going to get into all of that again.
Robert Kraft actually released his statement Monday about the incident. In his statement he went on to say that if any of this is true, then the whole organization, including Kraft was duped by Hernandez. He couldn't really go into huge detail with everything since the investigation is still ongoing but he discussed what he could. He stated that a week before Aaron's arrest, if he was arrested and charged for Lloyd's death then Hernandez would be cut immediately. And he was. He went on to say that if any player was to ever be investigated into a murder charge or even an obstruction of justice charge, then that player would not be moving forward with the team. Kraft said that the tight end was always polite and respectful. Prior to the 2010 NFL draft, Aaron wrote Kraft and the organization a letter exclaiming his faults and if giving the chance to perform as a Patriot that he would put the team first, participate in random drug testing and do whatever it would take to prove that his past was in the past. Clearly that was short lived.

Punk Hernandez and Peacemaker Tebow. |
Many supporters of Aaron Hernandez are putting blame on the New England organization as well as the University of Florida. This just baffles me. Did anybody from New England or U of Fl hold a gun to his head to make him pull the triggers, smoke pot, and any of the other things he's accused of? Fuck no they didn't. He made the decision to pull the trigger, smoke pot, punch the bouncer in the ear, and destroy evidence in the Lloyd case. Stop trying to put the blame on everybody else. His dumbass is the reason why he's in jail right now with no bail. He risked everything. I have no sympathy for this man. I also read an article that stated that it was unclear if the Lloyd family would sue New England. Seriously that is the dumbest thing I have fucking heard in this whole ordeal. The only person to blame is Hernandez and his two accomplices. Simple as that.
This past weekend, fans were able to exchange their #81 jerseys for any other player of equal value. Over 2,500 participated in this exchange. This event ended up costing the Pro Shop $250,000.

As I'm on the topic of Hernandez, he has been removed from Madden 25 as well NCAA 14. Here is the statement EA Sports released:
"We have made a decision to remove Aaron Hernandez from Madden NFL 25 and NCAA Football 14. Because NCAA Football 14 was finalized prior to our decision, Hernandez' image still appears in the Nike Skills Trainer. However, he is not in the game, and anyone who unlocks that particular Nike Skills Trainer reward will receive an Alex Smith Ultimate Team player item instead. The image of Hernandez will be removed via a Title Update in the near future."Bravo.

My next rant is something that irks the hell out of me. It absolutely drives me fucking nuts! I actually had someone that I'm acquaintances with tell me that even though Aaron Hernandez is a murder suspect that they are still a huge fan of his because he's "hot." ... -__- Really? I seriously wanted to reply with are you fucking kidding me? Do you not know anything at all about football. Of course this dumb bitch doesn't. This is also the same girl that is a huge Tom Brady and New England fan because Brady is sexy. Again, really? How are some girls so fucking clueless when it comes to football? If you think a player is sexy, you don't automatically hop on the team bandwagon. You're a wishy washy fan. Shit like this is what makes girls and football so baffling. Everytime somebody asks me why I like the Patriots of all teams, they accuse me of being a fan because of Tom Brady's looks. No. Clearly, I am a fan of the team regardless of any appearance of the players. I am always a fan of New England whether we win or lose, when Tom Brady leaves, etc and that will never change. Football is a huge obsession of mine and its honestly kind of sad. SMFH
Cleveland Browns' fan, Scott E. Entsminger had a very interesting request. According to CBSSports.com, he wanted six Cleveland Browns players to be his pall bearers. His reasoning? So the Browns could let him down one last time. Entsminger passed away July 4. Another interesting request in regards to a death comes from Washington D.C. A man by the name of Mark Lindamood passed away of cardiac arrest. He was a lifelong Redskins fan and requested to be buried in Robert Griffin III's jersey. Mark was 33.
