Here's a little bit of what has happened so far in the weeks that I haven't posted.
- In order to secure the home-field advantage, all New England had to do was beat the Miami Dolphins. Easy enough, right?! NOPE. New England ended up losing that one 20-10. The possibility to still get home-field advantage was still possible, but in order to do that Denver would have had to lose to San Diego, which didn't happen. Denver secured home-field advantage, meaning if Kansas City loses to New England today and Pittsburgh loses to Denver, then the next game, we travel to Mile High Stadium. We all know how the last trip there ended. Fucking bullshit.
- The New York Jets were eliminated from the playoffs following a loss to Rex Ryan's Buffalo Bills who also did not make playoffs. Obviously that was gonna happen because Rex Ryan is never going to make it to the playoffs.
- Houston ended up making to the Wildcard round only to lose to Kansas City last week 30-0.
- Indianapolis Colts didn't even make it to playoffs after they were favored to be the Super Bowl favorites this year. How'd that go for ya, Colts fans?
- Chip Kelly was fired from his position with the Philadelphia Eagles. He's now the coach for the San Francisco 49ers.
- After talks of the Colts cutting ties with HC Chuck Pagano, they actually signed him to an extension.
- There's also the news about Chandler Jones and his reaction to synthetic marijuana. Gronk getting shots injected into his knee leading to everyone to question his status for today's game. Belichick's mysterious black eye which he has remained tight-lipped on how he got it.
- Oh, Reggie Wayne's retiring. Like that's actually a surprise. After not playing for a year and being the age that he is, did he really think he'd be signed again and still be an outstanding player? Doubtful. The dude had his chance with New England and asked to be released because it was "too tough and not fun."
- Also, for the Minnesota and Seattle game, NFL officials were going to switch out the balls at halftime due to deflation because of the cold weather that they were dealing with in Minnesota last week. So you're saying that cold weather does in fact aid in the deflation of footballs? Isn't that the same fucking theory used when New England was accused of deflating balls but oh no, that was not at all possible. Somebody had to intentionally do it? Bullshit.
Some questions I have:
- With Chip Kelly being the new 49ers coach, will Kaepernick get his starting position back or will he still be benched? Released?
- With Hue Jackson coaching the Browns, will he keep the circus act Johnny Manziel or will he try to trade and release him?
- With Chandler Jones' synthetic marijuana incident happening a week before a big game, will that put him at odds with Belichick and Kraft?
- Is Rob Gronkowski's back going to be another big issue for him once again?
- How did Bill Belichick get his black eye that he showed up with earlier on in the week? Oh i know the answer to that. My right boob got him a good one the night before. Sorry Linda.
