Around the NFL: Week 5

So far, the 2013 season has been extremely interesting to say the least. Some of the teams that are usually the underdogs are thriving while the big boys on top are crumbling. While one of the best quarterbacks in the league is trying to connect with the rookie players and win some games, Peyton Manning and the Denver Broncos are showing that they are the number one team in the league right now. And let me just say that I absolutely hate that with a passion. Not only am I not really a Manning fan, seeing wide receiver Wes Welker playing on a team that's undefeated while New England is struggling, SUCKS. I personally do not miss Welker. It's refreshing to watch "Butterfingers" drop passes. Clearly nothing has changed with him. Look at me digress. LOL

Now, here is something that I just get a kick out of and that's Eli Manning and the Giants. They are currently 0-6. All six of the New York Giants' losses are mostly all mistakes made by this "elite" quarterback himself. Thursday night, Eli managed to throw three interceptions. Manning has managed to sort of break a record of his own. He has the most turnovers that any other quarterback has had since 1991. The Giants have not seen a record quite like this since 1976. SMH Thank you Eli for making me realize that New England could be playing worse than our 4-1 record.

Right now here are the standings for each division.

AFC East

  • Patriots 4-1
  • Dolphins 3-2
  • Jets 3-2 (can't believe the difference Geno is making)
  • Bills 2-3

AFC North

  • Ravens 3-2
  • Browns 3-2
  • Bengals 3-2
  • Steelers 0-4 (LOL)
*Apparently, Tomlin has banned any recreational games from the locker rooms until the Steelers start performing better...lol*

  • Chiefs 5-0
  • Raiders 2-3
  • Chargers 2-3
