- Denver Broncos 33, Indianapolis Colts 39
- Minnesota Vikings 7, New York Giants 23
Huge props to Andrew Luck and the Colts for that huge win on Sunday night. Finally someone ended the undefeated streak of Peyton Manning and his Broncos. Welker made a huge catch at the end of the game which leads all of us Patriots fans to ask where the fuck was that skill at in SB XLVI??
Redskins Brandon Meriweather is suspended for two games for illegal hits. Meriweather is appealing the ruling but with the hits being head to neck of defenseless players, I highly doubt it'll be appealed. If the ruling stands, he cannot practice with the team until it is up, which is around November 4. The suspensions could cost him $141, 176 in game checks. Below is his statement on the matter.
"I feel like every hit that I took was a legit hit," he said, via the Washington Post. "I wasn't trying to be dirty. I wasn't trying to hurt nobody. I didn't launch with my head. I used my shoulder like they told me to do. Everything I did was a pointer from them (league officials). ... You've just got to play. There ain't nothing I can do about it. I just go out there and play."With Vince Wilfork and Jerod Mayo out for the season and Talib with an injury, New England's defense needs some major help. Veteran Andre Carter has signed a 1 year contract with New England. Hopefully he will bring something to this team defensively.
Sources are saying that Richardson is not playing up to the expectations of the Colts. I must say it doesn't surprise me one bit. Irsay seems like a hard man to please no matter what the hell you do.
On to the New England and New York Jets game. I'm not going to say much because I am extremely pissed off still. We were cheated out of this win just like we were in week 3 last year against the Baltimore Ravens. That field-goal was not good!!!!!! Anyways, the result of this game was complete bullshit. Jets play dirty to win. After last year's matchup on Thanksgiving, fat boy Rex probably didn't want to be embarrassed again so they turned to this. New York Jets' coaches alerted officials prior to the game to look for certain things that New England will try to do. Patriots player, Chris Jones, pushed a teammate during Folk's first 56-yard field-goal which he missed. But due to that penalty on New England, the Jets were given 15 yards into New England's territory giving Folk a 42 yarder. Jets win in overtime. Of course, Ryan didn't want to discuss this penalty mainly because his fatass knows that they were playing dirty and that it was straight fucking bullshit. Rex Ryan states that they outplayed Belichick and the Pats. No you didn't, cocksucker. Jump in front of a bus and shut the fuck up.
Minnesota has announced that Josh Freeman will start Sunday.
Week 7 brought some injuries. Listed below:
- Jay Cutler (CHI)-groin; expected to miss at least 4 weeks. Could Chicago shop around for a new quarterback with Cutler's contract expiring at the end of the year?
- Lance Briggs (CHI)-shoulder; expected to miss at least 6 weeks
- Reggie Wayne (IND)-torn ACL; expected to be out for the rest of the season
- Sam Bradford (STL)-torn ACL; expected to be out for the rest of the season as well
- Brian Cushing (HOU)-broken fibula/torn LCL; 2nd straight season with an injury
- Leon Hall (CIN)-Achilles tendon; season ending
- Jermichael Finley (GB)-neck; doesn't require surgery but it will take weeks before he can return
- Doug Martin (TB)-shoulder; out for several weeks
- Nick Foles (PHI)-concussion; Vick will start Sunday
