So I have to say that it was a pretty good week. I mean, out of past Super Bowl MVPs, Brady was the only one to win yesterday. Uh...duh! Speaking of Brady, I might as well go ahead and talk about the New England and the New York Giants game first, actually it's probably the only game I'm going to discuss anyways.
I'm not going to lie. I was extremely nervous heading into this game simply for the fact that the Giants are an aggravating thorn in our side. Having lost the past three matchups against them, including past Super Bowl runs, it was a bit worrisome for sure, especially with losing key player Dion Lewis the week before against the Washington Redskins. During this game, we lost another key player to an injury...good ole Julian Edelman, Minitron himself to a broken bone in his foot. (His recovery is 6-8 weeks so he should be back in time for the playoffs. Fingers crossed.)
One thing I've learned through the years of being a New England Patriots fan is to never count New England out. As long as you have Brady and Belichick at the wheel, anything is possible. Honestly, I should say that as long as you have Brady, Belichick and the best kicker in the NFL Stephen Gostkowski, winning is always possible. Thank God for Gostkowski kicking the game winning field goal because going 9-0 and putting an end to this Giants always winning nonsense.
Bad call of the game: taking the second touchdown away from LeGarrette Blount because of a penalty on the offense.
Good call of the game: reversing the call of a touchdown in the fourth quarter to an incomplete pass to Odell Beckham Jr. Many argue that it was a touchdown but no it was not. It was still in play at the time that the ball was knocked out of his hands. Therefore, NO TOUCHDOWN. Get over it, OBJ. I saw you on your press conference bitching about it. The team you hate the most beat you guys.
NFL LIVE Topics :
- Peyton Manning has thrown his last TD.
- Tony Romo's return will save the Cowboys' season. (7 straight loss)
Miscellaneous Around the NFL News:
- Last week, the Colts released a statement stating that QB Andrew Luck would be out for two to six weeks due to a lacerated kidney and a partial tear of an abdominal muscle. Coach Pagano is actually blaming this injury on the quarterback himself stating that Luck's play style contributed to the injury.
- Cincinnati Bengals are no longer undefeated as the Houston Texans beat them 10-6. Apparently, Andy Dalton is being a little crybaby bitch about a statement that JJ Watt made after the game stating that they wanted to make the Red Rifle look like a Red Ryder BB gun. I find it hilarious. Suck it up. Dalton, you know that you would've won this game there'd be no issue with that comment whatsoever. Get the fuck over it and grow some balls.
- New York Giant Victor Cruz is out for the season which led to the team re-signing Hakeem Nicks.
- Once again, officials have fucked up the result of a game. In the Jacksonville/Baltimore game, officials apparently neglected to flag the Jaguars on a false start penalty. By not calling this penalty, Jacksonville was able to nail a 53-yard field goal by Jason Myers to the win the game. I'm going to say that that is karma, my friends. It takes me back to the Patriots/Ravens game when the field goal that was kicked by Baltimore was CLEARLY NO GOOD yet officials ruled as good sending this piece of shit team to the Super Bowl. Hey Baltimore, look at it this way: you're now 2-7 and you're just gaining a better position for the 2016 NFL Draft. How's that DeflateGate Curse treating ya'll? It must suck seeing the team you helped Indy and the NFL try to destroy and take away their season remain undefeated as of right now. They're on the quest for ring number five and if they don't succeed, they're going to get pretty damn close. I hope that leaves a disgusting taste in your cocksucking mouths.
- PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE keep Nate Solder and his infant son in your prayers as his son was diagnosed with cancerous tumors on both kidneys back in October. His little boy is an innocent baby that definitely does not deserve a prognosis like this especially so young. I will never understand how things like this work. Innocent lives being threatened while some of the worst people keep on being healthy and living life like assholes.
