My Un-Important Thoughts on These Games
- I'm not really going to say much about the Eagles and Lions game because the Eagles absolutely suck this and I'd bet money on the fact that Chip Kelly might not be with them this time next year. Huge Thanksgiving win for the Lions though.
- "Super" Cam went on to lead his Panthers to 11-0 after another devastating loss for Dallas. Once again, Tony Romo was taken out of the game with an injury. The official diagnosis is that he has a hairline fracture in his left clavicle. He will not need surgery but he is out for the rest of the season. Matt Cassel will be the starter and Kellen Moore is expected to be added to the activated to the 53-man roster as Cassel's backup. So creepy old man Jones, you singing in the shower now? You delusional Cowboys fans still think that you're gonna make the playoffs this season? Try again next year.
- Not sure if any of you watched the Bears and Packers game, but if you didn't know, Jay Cutler and the Bears walked away with the win. Cutler was 19 out of 31 attempts for 200 yards, including a touchdown. Rodgers was 22 out of 43 attempts for 202 yards with 1 touchdown and 1 interception. This Bears win knocked the Packers out of first place, bumping the Minnesota Vikings into first place. This also led to a guy on Twitter tweeting the following to Cutler's wife, Kristin Cavallari stating "Tell Jay Cutler HES THE GREATEST QB IN NFL HISTORY!!! they keep doubting him he keeps proving em wrong #beardown" What in the world is this guy on? The greatest quarterback in the NFL history? Um no. I can think of so many other quarterbacks that are proven to being so much better than Cutler. You have Brady, Manning, Bart Starr, Joe Namath, Troy Aikman, Fran Tarkenton, Johnny Unitas, Terry Bradshaw, John Elway, etc. So far this season, Cutler has only thrown 14 touchdowns with 6 interceptions for a total of 2,510 yards. Jacksonville's own quarterback Blake Bortles has more touchdowns and yardage this season than Cutler. Bortles has 20 touchdowns on the season for 2,623 yards. He does have twice as many interceptions as Cutler does but still. Cutler is NOT and will NEVER be the greatest QB of all NFL history. It's a joke.
- Tonight New England travels to Mile High Stadium to take on the Denver Broncos and Brock Osweiler with his 2nd start, as Manning is still out. We are once again without Jamie Collins, however he was at practice this weekend so that's a real good sign that he's getting better. Danny Amendola is out for Sunday night's game and did not travel with the team. This is honestly a huge blow to the offense. We're already lacking the men and talent on the offensive line. I'd much rather lose a regular season game than to lose in the playoffs or the Super Bowl so keeping Amendola and Collins out this week is okay with me. There's been a lot of talk about the potential of Gronkowski playing wide receiver and letting Chandler and Cleveland play the main TE role. Only time is gonna tell. Here's to hoping New England can advance to 11-0 tonight with no more injuries. #NEXTMANUP
