Week 3 has definitely been one hell of an interesting week in the NFL. Replacement refs are still making horrible calls. Coaches are on the brink of giving themselves a heart attack. Top quarterbacks are not nearly as great as what they have been. Penalties and flags are being thrown left and right. Fans are having to watch their normal badass teams lose to lousy calls. It's just been horrible.
Week 3 started with the Thursday night game with the Cam Newton and his Carolina Panthers hosting Superbowl Champs, New York Giants. I had the Panthers winning this one, however, I was proved wrong. Giants ended up racking up the points and winning with the final score being 36 to 7. Watching this game, one would have thought that New York was the only team that actually showed up for this game. Andre Brown replaced Ahmad Bradshaw of the Giants as Bradshaw was out due to a neck injury. Brown ended up running 113 yards with two touchdowns. Eli completed 27 out of 35 passes for 288 yards. He had one touchdown with no interceptions. How wonderful. A lot of the attention came around to the fact that the Giants had three starters out of this game. Cam Newton threw three interceptions, and his team ended up with five turnovers. Newton completed 16 out of 30 passes for 242 yards.
Chicago hosted St Louis this past Sunday. Bears winning 23-6. Sam Bradford of the Rams was sacked six different times. Major Wright ran an interception 45 yards in for a touchdown. New dad, Jay Cutler completed 17 out of 31 passes for 183 yards with one interception. Bradford managed to complete 18 out of 35 passes for 152 yards and two interceptions.
There's really no surprise here, but the Cleveland Browns faced a loss against the Buffalo Bills. Ryan Fitzpatrick threw three touchdown passes, racking the score to be 24-14. Quarterback Fitzpatrick completed 22 out of 35 passes for 208 yards. Buffalo ended up losing C.J Spiller with a shoulder injury. Including this past NFL season, the Brown have now lost nine games in a row. That is horrible. Rookie quarterback, Brandon Weeden completed 27 out of 43 for 237 yards. Weeden completed one touchdown pass with two interceptions. Bills' Fitzpatrick had three touchdown passes with no interceptions.
Romo and his Cowboys beat Tampa Bay this past Sunday 16-10. Sunday's game was the home opener of the season. How nice that it ended with a win for the boys. DeMarco Murray and Dan Bailey managed to be the big helpers for this team. Murray showcased an eleven yard touchdown run, while kicker Bailey succeeded with kicking three good field goals. Romo completed 25 of 39 passes with 283 yards with one interception. Quarterback Josh Freeman of the Buccaneers only managed to complete 10 out of the 28 passes. He threw for only 110 yards for one touchdown and one interception. Geez, Freeman is a fantastic quarterback.
That last statement was sarcasm.
No surprise here but the Indianapolis Colts once again fell to a loss against the Jacksonville Jaguars 22-17. With only 45 seconds left in the game, Cecil Shorts caught an 80-yard touchdown pass leading the Jaguars with the win. Rookie quarterback, Andrew Luck completed 22 out of 46 passes, throwing for 313 yards with two touchdowns and one interception. Jags' Blaine Gabbert only completed 10 out of 21, threw 155 yards with only one touchdown. Way to go, Jags. We all know how I feel about the Colts.
This next one kills me. I absolutely hate seeing this team win. I don't know if it's just because they are rivals with my team or maybe it's because of their larger than life, big-mouthed, foot-fetish obnoxious coach. I don't know, but whatever the reason, I absolutely hate this team and their players. New York Jets. Jets beat the Miami Dolphins 23 to 20 in overtime. Rookie quarterback, Ryan Tannehill, who has made the remark that he definitely isn't book smart when it comes to teams in his division or with anything NFL-wise it seems, managed to throw for 196 yards, threw one interception and completed 16 out of 36 passes. Dirty Sanchez, who has confirmed that he's dating Desperate Housewives' Eva Longoria, threw 306 yards, one touchdown, and two interceptions. I'm sure Rex Ryan is ecstatic with his team being 2-1 while New England is 1-2. FML.
Minnesota managed to win against San Francisco 24-13. Viking quarterback, Christian Ponder., completed 21 out of 35 passes, threw for 198 yards and two touchdowns. Alex Smith completed 24 out of the 35 passes, throwing for 204 yards, one touchdown pass and one interception. I have to say that Harbaugh is a sexy ass coach. Just saying.
Hearing the results to the Chiefs and Saints game definitely came as a surprise to me. I absolutely hate the Saints and Drew Brees, so hearing that Kansas City managed to defeat the Saints in overtime 27-24. Lame fuck Drew Brees threw for three touchdowns and one interception. He ended up missing all six of his passes in the fourth quarter and beyond. Sucks for him. While sexy Matt Cassel threw one interception for 248 yards. Saints are now 0-3. I am absolutely loving it!!!
Detroit Lions lost to Tennessee Titans in overtime 41-44. Titans quarterback, Jake Locker, completed 29 out of 42 passes. He threw for 378 yards with two touchdown passes. Lions' quarterback, Matthew Stafford completed 33 out of 42 passes. Having thrown for 278 yards, he only had one touchdown pass.
My favorite rookie quarterback did not clasp the win against the Cincinnati Bengals. RG3 and the Redskins lost to the Bengals 38 to 31. Andy Dalton completed 19 of 27 passes for 328 yards. Dalton threw for three touchdowns and one interception. RG3 completed 21 out of 34 passes for 221 yards and one touchdown. Come on, RG...you can play better!
The Arizona Cardinals defeated Philadelphia Eagles 27-6. Cardinals are now 3-0. Lame suck sauce. Kevin Kolb only threw for 222 yards. Michael Vick had two fumbles, in which James Sanders returned one for 93 yards for a touchdown for Arizona. Vick was sacked numerous times Vick threw for 217 yards and completed 17 out of 37 passes. Way to go Cardinals. I still think you suck! Definitely should not have won in week two. Just saying.
Where in the world is Carmen, San Diego? Holy hell. I used to always try to cheer on the Chargers and Philip Rivers but they just cannot seem to win. Atlanta managed to win against the Chargers 27-3. Rivers threw 173 yards, two interceptions and only completed 21 out of 38 passes. Matt Ryan threw 275 yards, 3 touchdowns, 1 interception and completed 30 out of 40 passes. Right on.
Peyton Manning has yet to do anything amazing as a Bronco thus far. I know he is just coming back after being out for an entire season due to an injury but people still have this guy on a pedestal. Peyton and Co. lost to the Houston Texans 31-25. Manning was outplayed by the Texans' quarterback, Matt Schaub. Schaub threw four touchdown passes. He completed 17 out of 30 passes for total yardage of 290. Peyton wasn't too bad with completing 26 out of 52 passes, throwing for 330 yards with 2 touchdown passes.
Good ole Rapisthlisberger...i'm sorry, i mean Roethlisberger, led his team to a loss to the amazing winning team of Oakland. Raiders beat the Steelers 34-31. Honestly, I don't give a rats ass how Roethlisberger did in this game. The Steelers lost so that's all I care about. To lose to the Raiders,....shaking my damn head. What the hell, Ben?! Need a new victim or something? Are you just waiting on that next injury that you know is just looming right around the corner. Oakland's quarterback, Carson Palmer completed 24 out of 34 passes. He threw for 209 yards with 3 touchdown passes and one interception. Way to go.
Now, I'm not going to recap the Baltimore and Patriots game. New England should have won that game. The field-goal kicked by Tucker with 2 seconds left on the clock was NO GOOD! Video shows it, yet the dumb fucks otherwise known as the replacement refs are fucking stupid. Patriots were cheated out of this win. Fuck the Ravens. Fuck Joe Flacco, Ray Lewis, Torrey Smith, Harbaugh and the refs. You guys suck.
